Haus Egelsee was a Cheesery in 1885 till 1960.  In 1980 it was converted into a house for private use.

Practical Information:

The location is excellent to explore the area on foot or on bicycle.

Shopping:

About  2Km. away there is a small breakfast Kiosk where you can get plenty for breakfast.  At the  Weissensee there is a small Supermarkt. For more extensive grocery shopping you can go to Pfronten (4,5Km) or Füssen (6Km) both towns have organic stores.

By the "Füssener Dreieck" you will find discounters like;  Aldi, Lidli, Kaufmarkt, Norma etc. In Pfronten you will find; V-markt, Feneberg, Norma and Plu.

Freizeit, Schlösser & Burgen:

In Pfronten there is a great swimming pool Alpenbad, heated and with a big waterslide.

There is a climbing area and many theme playgrounds.

The Breitenberg mountain area, offers great excursions in Summer as well as in Winter.

The castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau  in Schwangu, are 15km away. If you are planning a visit, please make a reservation in hig seaason.
